    Why Utah?

The first thing that stood out to me about the University of Utah was how happy, relaxed, and tight-knit the residents seemed during open house and interviews. I wanted to find a supportive environment with top notch training at an institution that valued the well-being of residents and the community, and I feel like Utah was a great fit for this! Additionally, I wanted to prioritize involvement in TMS and neuromodulation research during residency. The Research Track here offers the mentorship, opportunities, and time needed for career development as a physician scientist. A significant recent influx of government and university resources and collaborative support for mental health research makes Utah uniquely situated to be at the forefront in advancing mental health care knowledge and practice. The beautiful landscape and world-renowned recreational opportunities are just icing on the cake!
