Why Utah?
I happened to meet two Utah faculty members at a philosophy of psychiatry conference, and I was deeply impressed by their approach to medicine. At the same time, I had been living out east and couldn’t wait to get back to the mountains. When I interviewed I was blown away by the quality of the program. Salt Lake City is also (surprisingly, to me) a great place to live, with all the benefits of a bigger city but none of the hassle. I feel so fortunate to have matched at an excellent program in an area I love, without having to choose between the two.
