Why Utah?
When applying for residency, I searched for a program that offered a breadth of training experiences, a tight-knit and supportive resident cohort, and a city in which I could enjoy my life outside of work. Utah easily checked these boxes. It was rare to encounter a program that offered such robust clinical training (with a diverse range of clinical experiences, strong mentorship, and a full day of didactics) in combination with a culture of genuine support for resident well-being. Finally, SLC’s nearby outdoor access is unmatched, plain and simple! Utah was the ideal fit for me, both professionally and personally.
