Mandy Mejia, PhD

About Me

Mandy was awarded her PhD from The Johns Hopkins University in 2016. She is a statistician with expertise in the analysis of neuroimaging data. Skipping any postdoctoral training, she was rapidly recruited into a faculty position at IU. After quickly establishing herself at IU Bloomington, she was awarded her first R01 to develop Bayesian statistical methods for neuroimaging data. Her recent and ongoing work is focused on using Bayesian approaches to improve the accuracy of subject-level analysis using fMRI data, which holds promise for clinical practice and the development of imaging-based biomarkers. Amanda will be the lecturer for the hierarchical linear models, Bayesian statistics, and related topics.
