SURGICAL ONCOLOGY

The Division of Surgical Oncology is the top provider for surgical oncology in Utah. Our surgical oncologists are part of a network of highly trained physicians and investigators primarily based at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah.  

The division houses five sections: Breast Surgical Oncology, Colon & Rectal Surgery, Cutaneous & Sarcoma Surgical Oncology ,Endocrine Surgical Oncology, and Complex Abdominal Surgical Oncology which includes peritoneal-based malignancies, neuroendocrine GI, hepatopancreaticobiliary. In addition to highly specialized sections, we also offer excellent surgical oncology education opportunities, including a colorectal surgery fellowship. Our division is part of the only National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer center and National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and Commission on Cancer member institution in Utah.  

From multidisciplinary tumor board conferences to cutting edge clinical trials to advanced surgical techniques, such as HIPEC and robotic surgery, we aim to provide the best care, innovation, and education to contribute to the vision for a cancer free frontier.
