University of Utah Surgical Society exists to promote and sponsor a strong interactive relationship between alumni and the Department of Surgery through communication, continuing medical education, and service to its members.
We connect current and former colleagues and educate the community about the latest in research, discovery, and innovation within the Department of Surgery.

Our Mission
- Providing education, service, support, and information to our members and other health care providers in the communities served by the institution.
- Fostering, promoting, sponsoring, assisting, developing, and participating in the support and advancement of the University of Utah Department of Surgery and the academic field of surgery.
- Working to support philanthropic efforts to meet the needs of the University of Utah Surgical Society which may include research, clinical, and teaching support.
Membership
We serve the academic and scholarly research mission of the University of Utah Health Sciences. If you are a surgeon who attended University of Utah's School of Medicine, or if you are a current faculty member, or house staff, you are eligible for membership.
Non-alumni may who also share a significant passion and interest in moving our surgical mission forward may also be invited to join.
