Isabella is an Administrative Manager in the Division of Public Health and is the Associate Director for the Utah Area Health Education (AHEC) Program.  Her efforts include projects related to the integration of Public Health, specifically focusing on connecting populations to appropriate health resources. She is also involved in supporting research initiatives for the department.  Isabella earned her Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Utah.

Tatiana handles protocol oversight, regulatory affairs, enrollment, data capture, and management. She ensures Good Clinical Practice and SOP compliance for the division's research studies. Additionally, she serves as the Clinical Coordinator for AHEC and facilitates clinical training opportunities for students of all health-related disciplines in most of Utah's rural communities. Tatiana has 14 years of experience at the University of Utah and is a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP).

She is directly involved with assisting and monitoring OSHA-approved outreach trainers through the Mountain West OSHA Education Center. Crystal has been with the department since 2010.

Jess manages the daily aspects of Medical Student Education for the Family Medicine Division. This includes the 3rd year clerkship, as well as the 4th year Sub-Internship and other 3rd and 4th year electives. She obtains and manages all adjunct faculty appointments for preceptors as well as affiliation agreements with clinical sites. Jess oversees the scholarly activities as well as grants and research for the division. She also coordinates all FMIG (Family Medicine Interest Group) activities. She has a bachelor’s in Psychology and is currently enrolled in the Masters of Public Administration program here at the U.

As former Assistant Dean and Executive Director for the Office of Public Heath Practice at Loma Linda, Jesse is experienced in applied public health community-engaged education, research and practice.

Tom provides support for Mac, PC, networking resources, printers, and office equipment in the division. He trains users on an individual basis to help troubleshoot their tech issues. Additionally, he has created solutions to record the Rocky Mountain Center’s Masters level classes in an online format for professional and high-quality classes and is in the process of creating an online format for all of the Center’s classes. Tom has an MDiv from the Salt Lake Theological Seminary, a BA in Multimedia Arts and Sciences and 20 years of experience working with Information Technology.

As a mathematician with a minor in physics, he began programming at Hill Air Force Base in 1980 and has worked with the University since the 80s as a LAN Manager and Database Programmer, along with Desktop and Server Manager.

Corby is responsible for managing the IVC classroom equipment at the St. George campus. Corby ensures that our classroom technology works well to keep our SLC and St. George students and instructors connected. He has been involved with computers and tech work for most of his life, most recently working for Dixie State University. Starting at the University of Utah in early 2018, he has facilitated the IVC system during classes, as well as developed tools for teachers and students to use to improve their experience. He is currently in school at DSU finishing his degree in IT.

Alicen has 15 years of related experience to her position and has worked for the University since 2002. She received her Master of Public Administration from the University of Utah.

Dan is responsible for the technology involved in expanding the Physician Assistant Studies Program to St. George. He is interested in all kinds of geeky things. He got his first computer at age 10 and it’s been non-stop since then. Starting at the University in 2000, he has worked with large Unix systems for hosting websites, email, and database systems, and he has done software development in various languages. He is back in school working on an English degree.

Connie manages the Continuing Education Program for the Rocky Mountain Center which conducts over 150 courses per year that contribute significantly to the financial health of the division. She ensures that the courses support the mission of providing timely and relevant continuing education programs to industrial hygienists, occupational health nurses, safety professionals and occupational medicine physicians. Connie has an MA in English, an MBA, and has worked with the department since 1985.

As Director of Admissions for the PA program, Doris is responsible for applicant advising and the development and implementation of admissions policies and processes. In addition, she serves as a member of the Recruitment and Admissions Council of the Physician Assistant Education Association, and chairs the Enhancements Committee for the national Central Application Service for Physician Assistants, CASPA.

Kevin is the Administrative Program Coordinator for the Occupational Medicine residency training program. His duties include assisting with recruitment of applicants, matriculation of candidates, and management of resident activities through the duration of the residency as well as after graduation. Additionally, Kevin documents and reports on the ACGME and RMCOEH grant program requirements and arranges the Residency Advisory Committee meetings and communicates residency activities with occupational health professionals in the community. Kevin has worked for the University of Utah since 2002.

Cami is the administrative manager for faculty and administration and faculty recruitment for the department. In this role, Cami manages academic matters and governance issues as they relate to the department’s position within the School of Medicine and the University of Utah. She acts as a liaison and point of contact to the offices of the VP for Academic Affairs and the VP for Health Sciences. Additionally, she monitors and coordinates the FARA (Faculty Appointment, Review, and Advancement) process for departmental faculty. Cami joined the University of Utah’s College of Nursing in 2008 and the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine in 2013.

Becky joined the University of Utah in 1998 and has over 15 years experience in higher education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development from Utah State University.

Kristen’s role in the department involves working on projects to promote missions as well as ideas for future initiatives that promote all of the outstanding work and rich history of the department. She graduated in December 2016 from Utah State University with a dual degree in Communications (PR emphasis) and Business. While in school, and through various other opportunities, she developed a love for content creation, social media, and research. Outside of work, Kristen loves writing, fashion, and any kind of music. She also plays the cello.

He hopes to attend Medical School in the Fall Semester of 2018.

Karen is the coordinator for the UPAP didactic team at the St. George campus. She has worked with the University of Utah for the past 18 years in the Containing Education and Community Enrichment (CECE) department and more specifically in the Professional Education department for the past 13 years managing the Corporate Employee Universities and Government (City Recorders and Treasurers) Academies. This opportunity has allowed her to make friends in almost every city in the state. Karen works closely with UPAP faculty, staff and instructors to address St. George student needs during their didactic year and clinical year. She was born and raised in St. George and jumped whole-heartedly at the chance to return home after living in Salt Lake for the past 25 years. She graduated from DSU (Dixie State College at the time) and UVU, with a degree in Culinary Arts, which surprisingly enough, has many of the same skills required in managing programs. She loves cooking, being outdoors, and is (trying) to learn the ukulele.
