Tatiana Allen-Webb, BS, CCRP, is the Programs Manager for the Utah Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) program. She coordinates the design, development, and delivery of statewide initiatives, including program assessment and improvement, and oversees the AHEC Scholars. Additionally, Tatiana manages the Community Health Worker Team embedded into the School of Medicine curriculum. Tatiana has 23 years of experience at the University of Utah.

Paige Bartholomew is an Executive Assistant for DFPM. Her responsibilities include the facilitation of meetings, coordination of events, and management of communications. Paige graduated from Weber State University in 2022 and is currently studying at Avalon Institute. Paige is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her best friend, her cat Rigby when she is not out taking photos for her photography business.

Justine is an Administrative Manager for the Division of Public Health. She provides administrative support to the Division Chief as well as faculty and staff. Her responsibilities include calendaring, accounts payable, supply orders, minutes, arranging travel and events such as student graduation, and also works with AHEC and CHW. Justine is from St. Anthony, Idaho, and earned her Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University Idaho in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations. Justine enjoys traveling, playing board games, and exploring the great outdoors!

Bobbie Bermudez is the Lab Manager and Study Coordinator at the Behavioral Sleep Lab. She completed her Doctorate in Critical and Sociocultural Studies in Education at the University of Oregon. Prior to that she completed her Master in Publishing at Pace University in New York and her B.A. in Communication at Richmond: American International University in London. Bobbie was born and raised in Tegucigalpa, Honduras and is passionate about Latinx recruitment and inclusion in public health studies.

Garrett is an Administrative Program Coordinator for the Division of Family and Community Medicine. He works with both med students and residents alike working on schedules, data entry, shadowing, and more. While also working as a coordinator for the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship. Garrett has a Bachelor’s in Creative Writing and uses that creative passion to write, draw and enjoy many forms of media. His favorite being videogames. Garrett enjoys spending all of his day at his computer loving life with a cat (or few) on his lap.

Moses, originally trained as a Physician Assistant in Ghana, transitioned to pursue a graduate degree in Finance at the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business. Currently, he works with the Finance and Analytics team as a Financial Management Analyst, contributing to financial processes including budgeting, financial modeling, compensation design, fund flows, and reporting. Moses is fueled by a deep passion for both medicine and finance. He also serves as a member of the Resiliency and Belonging Committee within the department. Beyond his professional pursuits, Moses enjoys skiing, hiking, and reading.

Holly is the chief of staff for the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. Holly directs the management and staff support of the department’s programs and operations across all missions. Holly joined University Health Care in 2005, where she has worked in project management, decision support, hospital finance, and research administration. Holly earned her MBA at the University of Utah. Before her employment with the University, she worked at Select Health for 10 years.

Emily is the Quality Manager supporting the primary care clinics. She works with providers and clinic staff to review data and make improvements to workflows to better care for patients and ensure that staff have the tools necessary to provide high-quality care. Emily has a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from BYU. Emily has worked in several different roles related to Quality Improvement over the years at the University of Utah and prior to that with the Association for Utah Community Health and the Utah State Health Department Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program. In Emily’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children playing in the mountains- camping, hiking, fishing, and going on rides in their UTV or reading a good book at home when it’s too cold to camp.

Casey Chandler, MHA, CHOP, has been with the University of Utah for nine years, with the last two years serving as the Operations Manager of the Westridge Health Clinic. Casey holds an undergraduate degree in Business from Brigham Young University - Idaho and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Utah David Eccles School of Business. Originally from Dickson, Tennessee, Casey also served in the US Navy on board the USS Carl Vinson, bringing a strong background in leadership and team dedication. Casey and his wife have been married for 28 years and have four wonderful daughters, three son-in-laws and two grandchildren. Outside of work, Casey enjoys blacksmithing, fencing (sabre), design/engineering, riding bikes, and camping with his family.

Jacklyn is a Graduate Student Coordinator for students in the MSTAT & MSPH programs offered in the Division of Public Health programs in the Department of Family and Preventive medicine. She coordinates various aspects of educational programs including recruiting, admissions, advising, and graduation. Jacklyn earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Utah.

Jesse serves as a Research Development Associate within DFPM’s Central Administration Research Office. With a career-spanning preference for working in the nonprofit sector, Jesse has extensive experience in senior services, academic, and cancer research settings. In his current role, Jesse supports the pre-award process for research proposals by assisting in the preparation and submission of grant proposals, ensuring compliance with sponsor guidelines and institutional policies. He provides pre-award support, including budget development, proposal formatting, and document preparation. He maintains databases tracking DFPM researchers’ publications, presentation, and accolades, as well as providing administrative support for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions and renewals. Additionally, Jesse manages the research section of DFPM’s website. Jesse and his wife moved to Utah five years ago. He graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a BA in English (Comparative Literature). His interests include reading, writing, playing tabletop roleplaying games and chess, running, strength training, and he is an avid beach volleyball player.

Ashley manages the daily aspects of the Medical Student Education Program, including the 3rd year clerkship, 4th year Sub-Internship and other 4th year electives. She helps to obtain and manage all adjunct faculty appointments for preceptors as well as affiliation agreements with clinical sites. In addition, she oversees the Family Medicine Interest Group (FMIG). She also serves as a coordinator for the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship. Ashley has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Utah and has been working in healthcare for the past 17 years.

Kathlyn is an Administrative Program Coordinator working directly in the Family Medicine Residency. She works under the Academic Program Manager to coordinate the residency’s didactics and several other meetings. She received her Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma and recently moved to Utah with her partner. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time outside any way she can.

She is responsible for the administration and management of all Public Health program operations including education, budgeting, financial operations, development, communication, and human resources. Courtney earned her MBA from Concordia University Chicago. She has several years of experience in management, leadership, administrative duties, academic advising, public relations and event coordinating.

Angelica is a Marketing and Communications Specialist for DFPM. She writes news stories, manages communications, and assists with the website. Angelica provides support to divisions and programs through graphic design, event planning, and photography. She earned her bachelor's degree in Integrative Public Relations from Central Michigan University. In her free time, Angelica enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and reading.

Tanis has been with the U since 2013 and has been working in research accounting since 2015; she started in the Engineering Department prior to coming to DFPM. She has been with DFPM since November 2020. Her responsibilities are ensuring post-award processes and procedures are being done correctly within DFPM, she is responsible for post-award support to PI's and divisions, working with pre-award as assigned, and other financial responsibility.

Sarah is an Administrative Program Coordinator for the Division of Family & Community Medicine. She holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Arizona and is nearing the completion of her Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) at Weber State University. With a passion for helping people, Sarah previously worked as an administrative assistant at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, where she had the opportunity to serve the Alaskan Native community through education and outreach programs. Born in South Korea and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, she brings a unique multicultural perspective to her professional and personal life. Sarah enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two-year-old son, and their two dogs. In her free time, she loves cooking, baking, traveling, and staying active with fitness activities.

She is an administrative leader with more than twenty years of experience in implementation and management of health organizations, social programs and private companies. She has successfully managed private business, and effectively worked in socially driven organizations and in academic institutions. Maisa is passionate about creating equitable opportunities for disadvantage individuals in education and health.

Rob is an experienced Finance and Budget Director with a demonstrated history of working in healthcare and higher education. He has worked in the School of Medicine at the University of Utah since 2014 and earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Utah. Rob brings a strong service mindset as he works to accomplish department goals and objectives, and has demonstrated excellence in management, financial planning & analysis, reporting, budgeting and process improvement. Rob’s primary roles include oversight of the financial health of the department, department funds flow, facilitating financial strategy, and compensation plans.

'Ailana is an Operations Manager for the Division of Family and Community Medicine. She brings a wealth of experience in healthcare operations and community health programs, with a strong background in managing healthcare teams and executing complex initiatives. Most recently, as Director of Field Operations at Nomi Health, she led large-scale healthcare projects, overseeing operations across multiple regions, optimizing processes, and improving service delivery. In addition, as a Community Health Advisor at ¡Vamos! Health, 'Ailana focused on building community-centered health programs, enhancing patient outreach, and addressing health disparities. With an MBA and a passion for driving innovation in healthcare, she is excited to bring her strategic leadership and operational expertise to the team, advancing patient satisfaction and community health outcomes.

Abby is a Recruiter and Coordinator in the Division of Public Health. Her responsibilities include coordinating different aspects of the program, including recruiting, personal outreach, marketing strategies, and public relations. Abby is from University Place, Washington, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Communications from Utah Valley University. She enjoys running, playing board games, and reading self-improvement books.

Craig is a Project Administrator for the department. He coordinates the onboarding and credentialing for new primary care and urgent care providers among other key roles within the department. Craig has over 13 years of experience within the healthcare industry and has worked for the University of Utah for seven years.

Karen works with the Division of Family & Community Medicine. Her responsibilities include supporting the Division Chief. She also assists Family & Community Medicine faculty with meetings, reimbursements, travel, and expense tracking. Her professional experience includes office administration, support, sales and customer service in multiple industries - helping out with whatever needs to be done to get the job done. Her passions are travel, music, plays, laughter and dogs. She loves being with old friends and new (bonus when she can bring along her dog). The common thread being interaction with people: helping, supporting, learning and meeting people. The opportunity to show kindness enriches her life and fills her with happiness.

Sofia has worked with the Strategic Projects Team for two and a half years as an Operational Project Manager, and most recently, as a Senior Project and Operations Manager. Before starting with the Community Physician Group, she completed her Master’s in Healthcare Administration at the University of Utah. After receiving her degree, Sofia developed extensive system knowledge and experience as the 2021-2022 University of Utah Medical Group Administrative Fellow. As Associate Director of Strategic Projects and Virtual Care, Sofia will lead project management and virtual care for the Division of Family & Community Medicine. Sofia is passionate about provider well-being, patient experience, and innovative care models. When she’s not working, Sofia loves to spend time with her family and dog Oscar, attend spin classes, and travel.

Pamela is the Human Resources Manager for the Division of Public Health. Her responsibilities include payroll and overseeing employee onboarding and offboarding, including tracking new hires, drafting offer letters, and initiating background checks and I-9s. She also manages staff training, submitting additional compensations, payroll reallocations, invoices, vacation & time-off accruals, as well as managing Public Health’s UMarket online payment account.

Sylvia Lyons is an Administrative Assistant for the Division of Public Health. Her tasks are diverse, providing administrative support to faculty and staff by managing calendars & room scheduling; purchasing & reimbursement; time off accruals; building maps, access, & keys; travel arranging; faculty CV edits & updates; and other project support as needed. Sylvia earned her BA in General Professional Dance at BYU and has taught ballroom and coached formation teams. She raised a large family, homeschooling for 12 years while also moving 12 times, living in Utah, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and California.

LaShelle Mann, MBA, is the Senior Faculty Affairs Project Manager for the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine (DFPM), where she oversees all academic and governance matters related to the Department’s role within the School of Medicine and the University. She oversees all aspects of faculty HR practices, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, advancements, and offboarding. LaShelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Business Administration from Weber State University and holds certifications in Contract Management and Human Resource Management. Her passion for education and people is reflected in her extensive background in higher education, program management, and people development. In her free time, she loves to spend quality time with her loved ones. Originally from San Diego, LaShelle is passionate about the ocean and marine life, and she enjoys traveling and whale watching annually.

Prudi Marneedi, BDS, MPH, CPH is the Evaluation and Education Lead for the Utah AHEC program. He will be evaluating the AHEC programs and lead several educational activities administered by Utah AHEC. Prudvi is an alumni of University of Utah and is interested in public health research and community health. He envisions a just and equitable society.

When not at work you can find Heather reading, singing, biking, at the theater, or spending time with her family.

Erin is the Director of the Division of Family & Community Medicine. She leads the division in advancing its clinical care and fosters opportunities for innovation. Erin has a wealth of expertise as she’s led countless initiatives that improve efficiency, patient experience, care quality, and provider well-being. Under Erin’s stewardship, Virtual Urgent Care became the University’s largest telehealth program, positioning it to play a key role in the institution’s COVID-19 response. She co-led the implementation of Project CORE across 40 U Health specialties, enhancing primary care providers' access to specialty input. Erin earned a Project Management Professional certification and received a Master of Business Administration from Neumont College of Computer Science. In her free time, Erin is an avid traveler and can be found on a mountain, on an airplane, or reading.

Jon is a Business Intelligence Manager with 12 years of data analytics experience and 14 total years working for the University of Utah. His primary role involves supporting doctors and the team in their projects, where he excels in automation, querying data from Epic, and creating insightful dashboards using Tableau. He enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids, and dog. Their shared interests include fishing, camping, cruising, sports, and riding dirt bikes.

Susan Niles is on the Strategic Projects Team as a Senior Virtual Care Operations Manager. She is responsible for Virtual Care Operations and project-related work. Susan spent her early career in healthcare treating athletes across all levels, from youth to Olympians, as a Certified Athletic Trainer. She transitioned from the sidelines and training room to a clinical and operations setting as a provider extender and outreach coordinator at a hospital system in Houston. A move to Denver landed her in a role as an operations manager for an in-home urgent care start-up with locations across the country. Susan is excited to apply her clinical and operational experience to her role. Susan and her husband enjoy cooking/hosting elaborate dinner parties and being outdoors hiking and fishing.

Rob Owens is a Senior Research Analyst for the Division of Family & Community Medicine. He coordinates the evaluation and scholarship for a number of funded projects. Rob oversees the development and implementation of project evaluation plans, including creating instruments and measures, collecting and analyzing data, performing analyses, and publishing and disseminating findings. He has over 20 years of experience in research and program evaluation. Rob has a PhD in education and a master's degree in human development.

Corrine Padilla, M.Ed., is an Operations and Project Manager in the Division of Family & Community Medicine. As a collaborative and convivial leader with 17 years of higher education, business, and management experience, she is highly adept at consensus-building and cultivating talent. As a colleague, she is a resourceful problem solver and data-driven decision-maker who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Corrine is enthusiastic about using her knowledge and broad experience to work cross-functionally both within the division and externally to aid and facilitate innovation in health care. Her deepest passion in life is helping improve the lives of others. Corrine earned her bachelor's degree in history, government & philosophy from Adams State University in Colorado and then earned her master's degree in educational leadership & policy with an emphasis in social justice from the University of Utah in 2014. When she is not working, Corrine loves to spend time with her family, including her two dogs and her cat, traveling, kayaking, and reading.

Elizabeth Ramsay is a Senior Accountant in the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine, where she collaborates on financial planning and analysis, reporting, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives. She holds a master's degree in accounting from the University of Utah and a bachelor's degree in accounting and biology from Brigham Young University–Hawaii. Before joining DFPM, Elizabeth worked in public accounting as an auditor and was also an adjunct faculty member at BYU–Hawaii. Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball and spending time with her loved ones. Originally from the tropical islands of Tonga, she is gradually adjusting to the Utah climate.

Anne joined the U in 1995 working in Oncology on the PLCO study. She was then part of the SPRINT high blood pressure study in Nephrology. She joined DFPM, Division of Public Health, in 2016 as an Administrative Assistant. In 2002 she joined Central Admin as a post award officer. She is responsible for ensuring post-award processes and procedures are being done correctly within Family Medicine (FM), Physician Assistant Program (PA), and Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH). Anne enjoys traveling with family, cooking for the family, and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.

Becky is the administrative manager of clinical programs in the Division of Family & Community Medicine. She oversees faculty clinic schedules, including call and OB, faculty dashboards and policies and procedures. She works with the PCMH, APC, Insomnia and SEE groups and assists with community outreach and Million Heart efforts. Becky joined the University of Utah in 1998 and has over 15 years experience in higher education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Family and Human Development from Utah State University.

They also oversee pre-award grants and contracts for DFPM. In their free time Maude enjoys reading, running, and spending time with loved ones.

Paulette Sanchez is an operations manager and physician recruiter within the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine. She recruits MD/DO’s, and APPs in primary care and urgent care for outpatient health centers located throughout the Wasatch Front. She is also responsible for the onboarding and offboarding processes for providers which include human resources, benefits, and payroll. Born and raised in Utah she enjoys camping in the mountains and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Chin-Yin is responsible for planning, organizing, directing all aspects pertaining to administrative functions for two research projects in the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine: Utah Advanced Course on Mentoring, Leadership, and Research on Cancer-Related Health Disparities and HRSA-funded Maternal Health Capacity Building for the Medically Underserved in Rural and Urban Utah. Prior to joining the University of Utah, Chin-Yin worked at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, Center for Health Equity, to help improve access for individuals to receive care as well as working to reduce disparities in cancer screenings. Chin-Yin has years of experience working in the social services field and has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the National Taipei University and a Master's degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University.

Paige Simmons is a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst for the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine. She specializes in transforming data into actionable insights and compelling narratives that optimize workflows for clinicians and administrators. Before joining DFPM, Paige worked as an analyst in healthcare business strategy and marketing. She holds a master's degree in business analytics from the University of Utah. Outside of work, you can find Paige enjoying river rafting, cooking, or skiing.

Chris Sparks is a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Division of Public Health. He manages and coordinates activities for Dr. Baron’s Behavioral Sleep Medicine lab including data collection, analysis, and participant recruitment. He also works PRN in the Utah University Medical Centers Emergency Room as an EMT. He has a great interest in the intersection of behavioral and mental health and their impact on personal and community health at large. Chris earned his MPH with a Certificate in Global health and BS in Sociology from the University of Utah.

Chanda has her MBA with an emphasis in Healthcare Management and has over 18 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement. She believes the best part of working in quality improvement is the positive impact she has on patient’s lives indirectly. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her spirited 2-year-old daughter and husband, as well as exploring her passion for cooking and enjoying great food.

Marissa Taddie, MPH, MS, is a GIS Analyst for the Division of Public Health. She uses Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to create, summarize, and manage geospatial data. Additionally, she uses spatial and geostatistical methods to analyze, visualize, and present findings from various health outcome studies. Her hobbies include competing with her Australian Shepherd, Rye, and adventuring in the mountains and desert with her husband and other dogs.

Eliza is dedicated to expanding the research footprint in the department. She supports faculty with IRB, REDCap, Qualtrics, manuscript writing, publications, and problem-solving specific to the scholarly needs of clinicians. Eliza supervises research staff and is available for one-on-one research question consultations. Eliza received her MPH degree from the University of Utah and has a background in women and refugee health.

Her role encompasses a diverse array of responsibilities, including but not limited to streamlining administrative processes, optimizing scheduling and communication, and coordinating events and initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided to patients. Rachel enjoys time with her children and is always seeking adventure in the mountains either snowboarding, camping, hiking, or paddle boarding.
