Emergency Medicine Students

Overview

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Utah teaches several courses for medical students in addition to offering a residency and five fellowships.

Coming in the 2023-2024 academic year, the UUSOM and Department of Emergency Medicine will offer a limited number of spots for visiting students to enroll in our sub-internship and medical toxicology rotations. Please visit the tabs above to learn more information about these MS4 4-week rotations. You may apply for these via VSLO. 

Note: visiting students may apply for our rotations using the Visiting Students Learning Opportunities (VSLO) application. We do not accept international students or students who do not have access to VSLO.

Shadowing in the Emergency Department is restricted to current University of Utah medical students only. If you are a current MS1-MS4 please contact Ella Musuris @ ella.musuris@hsc.utah.edu

*Note: The Sub I rotation will only be offered to 4th year visiting students in the Fall semester (June 12-December 23)*

The University of Utah Department of Emergency Medicine is pleased to announce a new Diversity of Experience Scholarship for this upcoming academic year! Please note that we will review scholarship applications on May 1st, 2023. After May 1st we will accept applications on a rolling basis.
