AY23 GME Institutional Outcomes Dashboard
What is the GME Outcomes Institutional Dashboard?
This annual dashboard is designed to brief the Graduate Medical Education community about the University of Utah Health results on various Key Performances Indicators measured over time.
UUH Results
The GME Institutional Outcomes Dashboard has been remodeled for AY23 to refine the flow of visualizations and present the KPI data in a longitudinal format to easily identify patterns. For ACGME-accredited training programs, trainees' overall evaluation decreased from its all-time high in 2021 from 97% to 94% in 2022. The overall wellness of our UUH trainees did not change much over the last academic year, except for a 4% increase in depression. Burnout hovered around the 50%-52% mark for the last few academic years but has decreased from its all-time high in 2017. The professional fulfillment KPI only has two years’ worth of data, and no pattern can be identified yet, but demonstrated a 1% decrease amongst trainees. The trainee population has a higher percentage of both female and URiM populations compared to its faculty counterparts. The institution’s first-time and overall board pass rates scored higher than the national averages. Trainee overall value decreased by 3%, while faculty overall value increased by 2% institutionally. It is important to note that trainee and faculty value data has only been collected for two academic years, and subsequent data is needed to recognize patterns.
