Fellows learn administrative skills through formal instruction and mentored projects.

All fellows participate in a formal quality improvement project based on their interest and hospital needs.

Health Care Quality Training

Our fellows participate in mentored quality improvement projects within the division and hospital. They leave with the skills and knowledge required to conduct future quality improvement projects including statistics needed to communicate the success of a project. All fellows participate in projects with Lean-6-Sigma QI methods, and for those who are interested, can become experts in such methods.

Both the University of Utah and Intermountain Healthcare are internationally recognized as experts and pioneers in health care quality and value. Fellows can complete advanced training programs at either institution based on their specific interests.
