Why Utah Pediatric HemOnc?
I immediately felt at home talking with the faculty and fellows. The hospital has a very wide catchment area with great diversity and high volume of cancer diagnoses every year.
What's your favorite part about living in Salt Lake City?
I love having easy access to hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. There are so many great options to get outdoors in all seasons within 30 minutes of the city in any direction.
What cool research/advocacy/education/scholarly work are you participating in?
Since I am just starting fellowship, I have not started my research project yet. I am hoping to conduct late effects as well as clinical and mental health outcomes research in LGBTQ+ adolescent and young adult cancer patients.
What are your plans following fellowship?
Not sure yet, but likely looking for leukemia/lymphoma positions with the ability to continue doing survivorship and outcomes research.
