Why Utah Pediatric Endo: Because of the global pandemic and a virtual interview season, I was able to interview across the country at a variety of programs and couldn’t seem to shake the feeling I had after my interview with Utah. Leaving the military, I was seeking that same culture of comradery and passion within a program. I felt from my interactions with the entire faculty that Utah was a fellow-centered program and afforded me the flexibility to shape my career into what I envisioned. Nobody tried to force me into a prefabricated mold and sought to foster my interests including my desire to do research in Health Professions Education. Primary Children’s serves one of the largest geographic areas of any children’s hospital. This allows for a wide variety of diagnoses and a high patient volume! Between the culture of the hospital and the patient population, Utah is unlike any other place for fellowship.
