  • About Me

I was raised just outside of Portland, Oregon, where I grew up with an appreciation for the mountains, the coast, and, of course, donuts. After graduating high school, I moved to Utah for my undergraduate education at Brigham Young University, where I majored in Molecular Biology. Following college, I returned to Portland for medical school at Oregon Health and Science University. I quickly gravitated toward pediatrics, appreciating the resiliency of children while learning how to provide education and reassurance to families. My interest in pediatric medicine took me to New York City, where I completed my residency in pediatrics at NYU and Bellevue. It was here that I found my passion for the boots-on-the-ground work of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, a field that perfectly melds what I love most about medicine—serving as the initial diagnostician and connecting with patients and families during vulnerable times. I am thrilled to be returning to Utah to pursue PEM!

    MEDICAL AREAS OF INTEREST

QI, advocacy, SIM, injury prevention, trauma, anaphylaxis

    INTERESTS & HOBBIES

Spending time with my four siblings, all of whom live in Utah, skiing, running, and all things food-related.

    WHY UTAH?

Having lived in Utah previously, I was already smitten by the unparalleled outdoor scenery. On interview day, I was equally captured by the talent, warmth, and camaraderie among the faculty. It was very clear that the mentorship paired with the patient volume, propensity for acuity and trauma, and large catchment area provide incredible opportunity for training in PEM. I felt I would be well supported in all scholarly activity pursuits, with the chance for meaningful impact across multiple facilities. On a personal note, I am thrilled to be living close to my family and look forward to exceptional ski days.
