I am from the Maryland suburbs of DC, where I grew up enjoying the many waterways of the area. I completed my undergrad degree in history (with a focus on the history of medicine) at Saint Mary's College of Maryland. I fell in love with working with patients directly and completed my medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. Upon completion, I moved out to Utah for my residency training in combined internal medicine and pediatrics. Working with patients with diabetes is a joy of mine, and so I chose to pursue combine adult and pediatric endocrinology subspecialty training here at the University of Utah, with my specific clinical interests focusing on transition between the pediatric and adult care settings for individuals with diabetes.
