About Me
The number one reason I wanted to come to Utah was the people! I was really drawn to the casual feel of the program-it felt like a place where people worked very hard together as a team and also enjoyed their time outside of work. I also knew I wanted to be at a larger academic center with high volume where I could learn by doing. I have an interest in pediatric emergency medicine and child abuse and neglect, and was excited by the strong opportunities in these areas with such a large ED and strong child abuse program. On interview day I was really impressed by how easy the residents said it was to connect with attendings for research and mentorship, and I've definitely found that to be the case so far. Being so close to the mountains where I can spend days off climbing, running, cycling, or skiing with my co residents really sealed the deal!
