Dominic Camperchioli, MD

  • About Me

Dominic spent his early years outside of Cleveland, Ohio, before developing an interest in neuroscience at Kenyon College in rural Ohio. During medical school, his passion for providing neurologic care to children grew, and the opportunity to learn from a broad scope of patient care in Utah—along with unmatched access to the outdoors—brought him to Salt Lake City. Here, both of those interests have continued to grow, with a particular focus on patients with movement disorders and cerebral palsy.

    Why Utah?

There is plenty to appreciate about the programs—both pediatrics and child neurology--here at Primary Children’s.  Utah’s incredibly large geographic catchment area brings complexity and variability to the patient population, as well as a nice balance of general neurology and subspecialty training.  A closer look at the child neurology program’s size, structure, and relations with other departments revealed plenty of opportunities to shape my training into what aligns closest with my career goals. In addition to the unbeatable outdoor access, the residency program combines strong academics, high patient volume, and a pleasant work-life balance.

Outside of the hospital, having the mountains so easily accessible brings plenty of active people to SLC, which has made it incredibly easy to meet people with similar hobbies.
