About Me
I was initially drawn to the University of Utah program because of the outdoor beauty in Utah. Growing up in Alaska, I loved being surrounded by the mountains, trees, and natural beauty. Utah reminded me a lot of home and the landscape that I love. I was excited to be able to train in a beautiful setting while also being at a large children's hospital with one of the most extensive catchment areas in the country. Once I interviewed with the program, I immediately felt at home. I could feel the joy and care that the program felt for all of its trainees, and I knew that I wanted to work in an environment that prioritized compassion and collaboration. Plus, it is great to be able to take my dog on a hike or go skiing so close to where I live and work!
