About Me
I was looking for a program that provided a well-rounded residency education with both a wide array of patient experiences and thoughtful considerations in creating schedules conducive to resident wellness, which Utah does an excellent job of. Utah additionally met my goal of providing the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients to learn from both medically and culturally (I get to use my Spanish every day at the hospital!). I am also very interested in health policy, and the ability to live in the state’s capital where all the state’s health policy is legislated combined with Utah’s GRUCH track and advocacy curriculum was an exciting draw. Finally, the laid-back nature of the program leadership and the unique compassion and humility with which they speak about their patient population made Primary Children’s a place I wanted to work at. When I’m not at the hospital you can find me going on walks with my dog Ruthie (Bader Ginsburg) at Liberty Park, enjoying Salt Lake City’s incredible farmer’s market, or catching up on the latest gen z tv show (research to stay on trend to connect with those adolescent patients).
