Vanessa Bryant is the Associate Director of Finance & Budget for the Department of Pediatrics, where she oversees all aspects of research finances. With more than 13 years of experience in research financial management, Vanessa brings expertise in budget development, industry negotiations, and clinical research billing compliance.
Vanessa began her career with the Department of Pediatrics’ Clinical Trials Office in 2012 and has since played a key role in expanding financial operations across multiple divisions. Throughout her tenure, she has focused on improving research billing compliance and streamlining operational processes to support the Department’s growing research enterprise.
In her current role, Vanessa leads both the Grant Finance and Clinical Trial Finance teams and is responsible for post-award administration and select pre-award functions across all research-related funding mechanisms. She provides oversight of grants, contracts, clinical trials, philanthropy, internal research commitments, and the budget process for applicable research funding, helping to ensure that each study is managed by staff with the appropriate financial expertise.
