Applicant Admission

All application materials for the medical physics residency program at the University of Utah are submitted though the Medical Physics Residency Application Program (MP-RAP) website. Open positions will be listed on the MP-RAP website (typically openings are posted in October). Application materials are generally due in late December and need to include the applicant's:

  • CV
  • Personal statement
  • Undergraduate and graduate school transcripts
  • Reference letters

Applications will be reviewed by the Medical Physics Residency Program Director(s) and members of the medical physics group. All applicants will be scored based on their CV, personal statements, transcripts, and reference letters. Top scoring applicants will receive invitations to interview.

Interviews will be virtual and are typically in late January or early February. Interviewed applicants will be ranked following the interview process, and the program’s rank list will be submitted to the MedPhys Match through the National Matching Services website
