Pediatric Wrist

The pediatric  wrist is a common location for “buckle fractures”.  Rather than the typical linear lucency  seen with  adult fractures,  special care should  be taken to scrutinize  the cortices for subtle  angulation.

FINDINGS: Subtle cortical irregularity at the distal radial metadiaphysis without significant angulation or displacement, consistent with buckle fracture.
