Programs and Services
ASP provides a number of resources to make sure medical students are as successful as they can be during medical school.
We provide:
- academic counseling,
- tutoring (including one-on-one, phone, and online/virtual),
- workshops,
- NBME practice vouchers
- resources to report discrimination and harassment against MD students, and
- help for current MD students preparing for their board examinations.
Tutoring
Drop-in tutoring is provided in-person for MS1s. At these sessions, students can review Essentials course content with upperclassmen tutors, get their questions answered, and gain insight into what information is most important to understand. Click here to check the calendar on our website and Canvas course for the dates, time, and location of these sessions.
Step Prep Sessions
Step 1 prep sessions are offered in-person for MS1s and via Zoom for MS2s. At these sessions, upperclassmen tutors provide and discuss Step 1 type clinical scenario questions with the group. Participating is a great way to improve basic science content knowledge and NBME test taking skills. Click here to check the calendar on our Canvas course for the dates, times, and locations of these sessions.
