The Center for Global Surgery brings together the extensive resources of the University of Utah to address the needs for affordable, accessible surgical care in the United States and internationally. The Center considers Surgery as an ecosystem within healthcare, which has specific needs for education, technology, business and resource supply chains. It brings together a collaborative network to include academic research and training, in partnership with the business and bioengineering communities, nonprofits, professional societies and public health programs, globally.
