Simulation Training for MOCA®

MOCA®

Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology

Join us for a full day of immersive, hands-on training in a high-fidelity simulation environment designed to strengthen clinical decision-making and crisis management skills. This comprehensive course enables ABA diplomates to fulfill the Practice Performance Assessment and Improvement (PPAI) requirement for MOCA while earning AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credits and renewing their ACLS certification.

AHA HeartCode® ACLS Pass-Off

Advanced Cardiac Life Support

The American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode® ACLS course requires participants to complete a hands-on skills session to finalize their certification. This practical component ensures proficiency in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) techniques, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in real-life scenarios. To earn official AHA ACLS Certification, both the online coursework and hands-on skills session must be successfully completed.

CVC Placement

Central Venous Catheter

This hands-on course, based on the Spencer 2019 CVC placement study, is led by board-certified anesthesiologists and features four interactive skill stations focused on ultrasound-guided CVC placement and complication management. Participants will refine techniques in sterile protocol, vessel assessment, ultrasound-guided insertion, and complication recognition to enhance safety and proficiency in central venous access.

Safe Sedation Training - Moderate

In-person Moderate Sedation Training

Safe Sedation Training – Moderate is a comprehensive simulation-based course designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills for safe moderate sedation in clinical practice. This blended-learning program begins with online modules and culminates in a hands-on session at the Center for Patient Simulation, where participants complete six moderate sedation procedural simulations.

Advanced Airway Management Skills

One Lung Ventilation, Awake FOI, CRIC

Refine your airway management skills with hands-on, simulation-based training led by board-certified anesthesiologists. This advanced course covers awake fiber-optic intubation (FOI), one-lung ventilation, and cricothyrotomy, using high-fidelity simulation to enhance confidence and patient safety. Designed for anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, and other providers, it prepares clinicians for complex airway challenges.
