St. George White Coat Ceremony

UPAP students in the St. George extension program gathered today to celebrate their White Coat Ceremony, a moment when PA’s receive white coats as a symbol of their entrance into clinical work.

The event was held at the Alumni House Event Center on the campus of Dixie State University, and was attended by twenty Class 50 students, their families, friends, and supporters. St. George faculty were also in attendance, along with UPAP Program Director Jared Spackman and Associate Program Director Amanda Johns.

The keynote speaker of the event was Dennis Mitchell, PA-C a graduate of UPAP Class 18, who has been practicing in St. George since 1994. Following the keynote, Students were presented white coats by their clinical associates in preparation for Friday Clinic experience, then recited Physician Assistant Oath.
