The American Public Health Association (APHA)—the largest public health organization in the world—recently elected Charles R. Rogers, PhD, MPH, MS, MCHES® as 1 of 8 Governing Council members for the Public Health Education & Health Promotion (PHEHP) Section. APHA has 32 Sections that are the primary professional units of the Association and conduct activities that promote the mission and fulfill the goals of APHA. When Dr. Rogers’ 2-year term begins on October 29, he will be key in assuring the PHEHP Sections continues to be a strong advocate for health education and promotion for individuals, communities, and systems, while supporting efforts to achieve health equity in all APHA activities.
