Department Chair Kola Okuyemi, MD, MPH has been selected by the Society for Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) to be the recipient of the 2021 Lynn and Joan Carmichael STFM Recognition Award. The award honors outstanding leadership in advancing family medicine as a discipline. In order to be selected for the award, Dr. Okuyemi had to demonstrate a commitment to advancing or enhancing family education by improving family medicine educational resources or supporting its objectives in a notable way. Dr. Okuyemi will receive the award at the STFM Spring Conference later in May, 2021.
