Karen M. Gunning, PharmD, BCPS, BCACP, FCCP, adjunct professor for the department, was recently recognized for her leadership and learner support. Dr. Gunning, who serves as Associate Dean, Community Engagement for the Department of Pharmacotherapy, was named the Faculty Preceptor of the Year for the College of Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Faculty Member of the Year by the Phi Lamda Sigma Pharma Leadership Society. The recognition was an official part of the University of Utah general commencement exercises, highlighting the top-level impact her leadership has had on students across departments in recent years.
