Family Medicine program coordinators, Marianne and Cayla, were selected to join the 2023-2024 board for the University’s chapter of the Utah Women in Higher Education Network. UWHEN, which is the Utah affiliate to the American Council on Education Women’s Network, works toward advancing women’s leadership on higher education campuses. This is done through developing and encouraging the use of leadership abilities, advancing women’s careers, linking women to other women and mentors, and supporting women in mid- and executive-level positions.
As board members, Cayla and Marianne will work as advocates to all women at the U, while also planning and promoting chapter events. Past events include in-person and virtual socials, webinars, and book clubs. UWHEN also hosts an annual conference each spring, along with opportunities to join events held at other campus chapters.
Chapter events are currently on hiatus during the summer break but will resume in the fall.
