Spencer Tingey Receives the Clinical Community Faculty Award

Spencer Tingey, DO, has been honored with the Clinical Community Faculty Teaching Award, sponsored by CompHealth, for his exceptional teaching and dedication to medical education at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine.

The award was established by the University of Utah School of Medicine Alumni Association and the Office of Academic Affairs and Education to recognize outstanding clinical preceptors in the community who go above and beyond in their education roles.

Currently practicing at the Westridge Health Center, Dr. Tingey exemplifies this dedication by spending countless hours providing training and mentoring to medical students and residents. The prestigious award is a testament to Dr. Tingey's commitment to shaping the next generation of healthcare providers.

“I've always enjoyed teaching, so it is quite an honor to be recognized for it. This award motivates me to continue working with students. I want to work hard to make a small difference in the lives of those trying to learn,” said Tingey.

Dr. Tingey will be formally recognized at the Annual MedExcellence Awards Ceremony.
