Incoming Trainees
Incoming GME Trainees
Before starting GME training, you will take part in an orientation program designed to introduce you to the University of Utah Health, the Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME), and to fulfill all onboarding requirements. We look forward to meeting you and are confident you will receive a rewarding training experience. We are here to support you!
Onboarding
A link to your Medhub Onboarding profile detailing all requirements and applicable instructions, including medical licensure for PGY2+ trainees, will be emailed to you. Be sure to meet all listed deadlines.
GME In-Person Orientation
Attendance at a brief 'in-person' orientation that typically occurs on your contracted hire date is mandatory for all GME trainees that are either UUH medical school graduates, joining a UUH program for the first time, those that left the institution & are returning, or UUH faculty returning for further training. The GME staff will email you the details of your designated orientation date, time, and location.
Don't pack away your identity documents! From the list of accepted documents, you must bring to the GME Orientation one document that establishes identity and at least one document that establishes employment authorization.
Check out all of our GME resources available to you to prepare for your arrival and understand what is available to you during your GME training.
