About Me: I grew up in Michigan and fell in love with its forests and lakes. I sought out medical training in Northern Michigan. Caring for rural patients was tremendously satisfying and spurred a desire to address the complex issues faced by patients living far from academic centers.
Interest and Hobbies: Hiking, Fishing, College Sports
Why Utah? Pursuing training in Utah was an easy choice. Utah has numerous compassionate and clinically excellent faculty capable of supporting any career path. The catchment area is immense, allowing me to engage in the care of rural patients while gaining exposure to the rare malignancies often seen at NCI cancer centers. The quality of life offered by SLC is the cherry on top, with mountains at our doorstep and the Huntsman just a short bike ride away.
