  • About Me

I grew up in a family of physicians and I was always interested in science and medicine. I really enjoy playing tennis and being outdoors in general. I used to coach tennis in New Hampshire during the summertime while I was going to College in NYC. Besides, science, medicine and sports, I really enjoy trying new cuisines (I love all Asian food) and restaurants. I have a 2-year-old fur baby, her name is Norepinephrine (she lives up to her name) and she is a Boston Terrier.

    Medical Areas of Interest

Thoracic oncology, medical education and malignant hematology.

    Interests & Hobbies

I started running in 2020 as a way of finding something I could do during the pandemic; since, I’ve completed the Pineapple Race Series in South Florida, and I’m planning to continue the tradition with the Miami Marathon in 2023. I also really enjoy playing tennis, going to OrangeTheory, and trying out new cuisines and restaurants

    Why Utah?

I really enjoyed my interview day, I felt welcome since the moment I logged on Zoom. I was also really attracted by the variety of pathologies I was going to be able to see/treat and the research opportunities and support I could get at an institution with the reputation of Huntsman Cancer Institute. Also, the idea of moving to Salt Lake City with abundant opportunities of enjoying the outdoors really called my attention.

    Hometown

    Santiago, Dominican Republic
