About Me
Jacob Kartes was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. He graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed residency training at the University of Utah. His interests within infectious disease are broad, and he particularly enjoys caring for HIV patients. He moved to Utah along with his wife Katelyn and their dog Leni. He has gradually picked up all the classic Utahan hobbies including snowboarding and mountain biking, but also enjoys basketball, playing guitar, and exploring nearby breweries.
