  • About Me

I grew up in Missouri and Arkansas in the Ozarks which in my opinion is a hidden gem tucked into flyover country. Grew up in a big, loud and at times crazy family. My wife and I met in medical school and moved out here after growing up camping and enjoying the outdoors. Our biggest obsession right now is mountain biking. I am married to Kaitlyn Bryant who also happens to be an Internal Medicine trained MD who will be a hospitalist with the U of U next year. We are both University of Utah trained and have absolutely loved living out here the last 3 years and enjoy the community at our health system so much that staying was a no brainer. We rent up in the Avenues and have two dogs but no kids (yet). I am very excited to be here.

    Medical Areas of Interest

I am trying to keep an open mind coming into fellowship but feel that my passion may lie with solid tumors. Clinical research is very interesting to me but I do not know if I see myself working on the bench. GU oncology has been my primary of research and finds the field diverse and rapidly developing!

    Interests & Hobbies

Anything and everything outdoors. Skiing, wakeboarding, mountain biking, backpacking, camping etc! I love geography and reading about weather/climates. I enjoy navigating/orienteering and studying maps as well. I have recently gone way in over my head with vegetable gardening but it has been a lot of fun.

    Why Utah?

We came for the outdoors/quality of life Utah could offer during the throes of residency and stayed for the people and community at the U. Plain and simple. I think the quality of care is amazing and the system set up here holds itself to a high standard and I want to be a part of that.

    Hometown
