About Me
Sonia grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal. She received her medical degree from Manipal College of Medical Sciences. She also completed her Dermatology, Venerology, Leprosy residency from Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University. During her dermatology training she was exposed to patients with connective tissue disorder where she was awestruck by the entire spectrum of rheumatological diseases and decided to pursue her career as a Rheumatologist. She then came to USA and worked as a research coordinator at University of Louisville for a year and completed Internal Medicine residency from Creighton University. Her husband was trained at University of Utah during which her love for Utah blossomed and always knew she wanted to train here. Sonia enjoys Pilates and aims to travel all the 63 national parks of USA.
