  • About Me

    Hometown: Portland, Oregon

Medical School: Albert Einstein College of Medicine

Residency: University of Washington School of Medicine

Medical Areas of Interest: Medical Oncology with an interest in solid tumor microenvironment modulation.

About Me: I'm originally from the pacific northwest, but am a traveler at heart. My mother is German and when I was younger we moved to Germany where I attended public school and learned to speak fluent German. After college I did cancer research in Portland Oregon before moving to NYC to obtain my MD PhD before returning to the west coast to complete my internal medicine residency at University of Washington and finally to Utah for fellowship.

Interest and Hobbies: I am an avid outdoor enthusiast, who loves adventure. I love snow sports, backpacking, scuba diving, rock climbing and pretty much everything that gets me outside. I love to travel and have visited 6/7 continents and hope to keep experiencing everything this world has to offer.

Why Utah? I chose Utah because it has everything I'm looking for in a place to train. World class clinicians and researchers in an ever-growing large academic research institute, that are invested in helping the next generation of Hematologist and Oncologist reach their full potential. This all in the setting of a town that values outdoor recreation with breathtaking mountain activities that can be as close as 15 minutes away.
