Chris Ching, MD

  • About Me

Chris grew up in Houston, Texas. He received a B.A. majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology - Immunology at the University of California, Berkeley. He continued his interest into immunology and worked as a research associate at the UCSF - Core Immunology Laboratory with a focus into HIV and its effects on the immune system. He later received his M.D. at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Recently, Chris has completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Utah and is continuing his training here to pursue his interest in autoimmune diseases.

When he's not practicing rheumatology, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife hiking, backpacking, and fly-fishing throughout the nearby national parks and Wasatch/Uinta mountain ranges. During the beautiful winters, he loves to carve up the mountains with his snowboard, and afterwards he'll warm up with a movie featured by the local Sundance film festival. He also enjoys jazz music and playing board games.
