Jake Van Epps, PhD is a Counseling Psychologist at the Resiliency Center. The Resiliency Center is a department focused on improving the mental health and wellness of faculty and staff across University of Utah Health. In his role as a well-being specialist, Jake provides adverse event psychotherapy support, leadership consultation, and support for long-term culture change projects. Jake is also the Director of Peer Support Programs where he coordinates training and peer support volunteers. Jake is taking his experience in Peer Support, and as a co-investigator on a HRSA grant, is packaging peer support and adapting it in for rural hospital contexts throughout the intermountain West. Jake is also adjunct faculty in the Counseling Psychology program in the College of Education at the University of Utah.
