Kate Gallagher (she/her) is a first-year Post Masters Social Work Fellow in the Addictive Disorders Treatment Program at the Madison, WI Veterans Hospital. She completed her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her MSW, Ms. Gallagher specialized in eating disorders with overlapping interests and projects in gender-affirming care for transgender populations and trauma. Her goal in the fellowship is to improve personal efficacy treating addictions through specialized training, work with a diverse population, and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve treatment outcomes. Ms. Gallagher hopes to explore opportunities for collaboration between addiction and eating disorder treatment programs within the VA system.
