About Me
Mitchell earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Utah and holds certifications in Leadership, Justice, and Community Practice and Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Since 2018, he has worked in various roles within addiction research, primarily focusing on program coordination, community advocacy, and outreach. Passionate about social and community justice, Mitchell has extensive experience working with diverse populations and is committed to advancing equity in healthcare and treatment access.
As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Mitchell recognizes the disproportionate impact of substance use disorders on marginalized groups and is honored to contribute to PARCKA’s research efforts to improve SUD treatment and outcomes. Outside of work, he enjoys shopping, indulging in reality TV, and immersing himself in all things pop culture and astrology. Most of all, he loves spending quality time with his cats.
