Nicole earned her master's degree in Sociology from Utah State University. Upon graduation she worked as an Epidemiologist for both the Idaho and Utah Departments of Health. Since 2010 she has worked in clinical trials in various roles such as clinical research coordinator, monitor, and regulatory coordinator. Nicole is a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from The Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA). Her research interest includes research regulations, especially those for vulnerable populations. From 2023-2024, Nicole served as the chairperson of the NIDA CTN Node Coordinators Work Group.
