Ms. Castro is a medical interpreter, is bilingual in Spanish, and has been coordinating clinical trials focusing on persons with substance use disorder for 5 years. She also has extensive experience working with patients in healthcare settings as a result of working for 4 years at the Community Health Centers, a local FQHC, providing relevant and affordable comprehensive healthcare services prior to coming to the U of U. She is passionate about working with under-served communities because of the individuals who provided assistance to her growing up as a second-generation Latina in the USA. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
