Overview

The anatomical health sciences graduate certificate at the University of Utah is a unique program designed for any graduate level student who has an interest in human biology. Created specifically as an online curriculum that offers flexibility for working adults and those who do not live near the University of Utah, this curriculum is designed to leave students with an in-depth understanding of the intricate workings of the human body. When completed, students will be equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to excel in various health-related fields, including medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, and nursing.

Mission Statement

The Department of Neurobiology has a dual purpose mission: scientific investigation and education in the pre-clinical sciences underlying human health. The graduate certificate in Anatomical Health Sciences aims to provide:

  1. A bridge program to help those who wish to pursue professional level education in the health sciences.
  2. A basis for educators who wish to expand their own course offerings into the anatomical health sciences
  3. A flexible online format to allow those who are working and/or do not live in the Salt Lake area access to our curriculum
  4. A focus on both core scientific principles and knowledge as well as key skills in communication and evaluation

We are committed through this certificate to graduate training and professional development by promoting knowledge, skills for independent learning, and doing so in an environment that is diverse and inclusive.
