Denise Morgan earned a BS degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Utah while working as a technician in the molecular infectious disease R&D division of ARUP. Before joining the Hwang lab, she spent nine years at the Moran Eye Center studying the genetics of age-related macular degeneration, with an emphasis on the molecular differences in ocular tissues from diseased and normal human donor eyes.
