Intracranial Vessel Biology Characterization with Spatial Transcriptomics and Endovascular Biopsy

Intracranial vessel specimens are too morbid to obtain from humans. Current hypotheses and assumptions about these vessels are based on extrapolation of features found in extracranial vessels. To address this scientific limitation, we are investigating gene expression traits in intracranial and extracranial vessels in both animals and select human samples. We harness cutting-edge bioinformatics tools to analyze gene expression, also known as transcriptomics, in RNAseq analysis of endovascular biopsy samples and spatial transcriptomics investigation in whole-tissue samples.
