3 Residents from Department of Anesthesiology Achieve Top 10% Nationally in BASIC Exam

The Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Utah is thrilled to announce that three of our residents have achieved exceptional results in the recent BASIC (Basic Anesthesia Skills Inventory and Competency) exam. Out of 13 residents who participated, Dr. Dennis Berry-Rieser, Dr. Christopher Jones, Dr. Theodore Medling, and have scored in the top 10% nationwide.

This remarkable achievement underscores the high level of expertise and dedication within our residency program. It also highlights the effectiveness of the BASIC Bootcamp led by Dr. Pham, whose guidance and support have been instrumental in preparing our residents for this challenging assessment.

Dr. Jones, Dr. Medling, and Dr. Berry-Rieser’s success reflects not only their individual hard work but also the strong educational foundation provided by our department. We extend our sincere congratulations to them for their outstanding performance and look forward to their continued contributions to the field of anesthesiology!
