Celebrating Dr. Steven Bott’s Remarkable Career

Celebrating Dr. Steven Bott’s Remarkable Career

After a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Dr. Steven Bott, a valued member of the University of Utah’s Department of Anesthesiology, is retiring. Dr. Bott’s journey began in September 1989 at the U of U as an ICU and AirMed RN, before he pursued medical school and completed his residency here in 2002.

Throughout his career, Dr. Bott has been a pillar of excellence and dedication, contributing significantly to our department and the field of anesthesiology. To celebrate his many years of service and the impact he has made, a retirement party was hosted at Dr. Chortkoff’s home, bringing together colleagues and friends to honor Dr. Bott’s achievements.

In reflecting on his career, Dr. Bott shared a piece of advice that has guided him: “Keep it fun, and when it's hard, remember that you're doing work that really matters.”

As Dr. Bott embarks on this new chapter, we extend our deepest gratitude for his years of commitment and service. Congratulations, Dr. Bott, and we wish you a retirement filled with joy and fulfillment!
