WELCOME

We are excited to share with you about the Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism Center (CRMC) at the University of Utah. This initiative is focused on advancing cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic health with the following Mission and Vision.

Mission

  • Establish a nationally recognized center of excellence focused on Cardiovascular, Kidney and Metabolic (CKM) Syndrome.

Vision

  • Important scientific discoveries to advance the field
  • Develop programmatic/collaborative initiatives

In pursuit of these goals, the CRMC will focus on three primary objectives:

Build a community of CKM-focused researchers and clinicians.

Improve research infrastructure and serve as a catalyst for CKM syndrome research.

Foster the next generation of investigators.

Research

The CRMC will seek increased extramural funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), other federal agencies, and biomedical foundations, while partnering with campus research centers like the Diabetes and Metabolism Research Center (DMRC) and the Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI) to bolster its research efforts.
